On July 13, 2005
five Tucson Raging Grannies were arrested trying to enlist in the U.S. Army
so enlistedpersonnel could return home safely;
the Grannies would resolve the problems in Iraq non-violently

In the intervening year, casualties on both sides continue to mount
as reports reveal the illegality of the Iraq occupation
and the erosion of U.S. citizens’ constitutional rights.
The Grannies grieve this senseless, tragic loss of lives
and the destruction of an independent nation.
The Grannies advocate an end of this illegal, immoral occupation,
and the return of U.S. citizens’ rights.

The Tucson Raging Grannies is a project of the Tucson Branch of the
Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom. www.wilpftucson.org
